Angie Meier, Ennis Texas
2007 Texas State Champion Ringman 2007 Auto Auction Team Champion
Angie Meier is a fourth generation auctioneer. She was born in Radford, Virginia. Her family owns and operates Radford Auto Auction, which has been in business for 30 years. Angie’s parents have conducted numerous auctions for decades and they always made sure that Angie and her brothers and sister were involved.
Angie met her husband, Craig at NAA’s 2000 Conference and Show in Norfolk, Virginia. The following year she moved to Texas to work with Craig and later established Meier Auctions. Initially, Angie began by clerking at the auto auctions Craig was selling. After clerking several auto auctions, Angie’s interest became focused on the performances of the ringmen, knowing that this was something she could do….and do well.
She attended Texas Auction Academy in July 2003. Two years later she won the Texas State Rookie Championship and that was all she needed to spur her confidence to the next level. She soon found herself with a full auction calendar. 2007 was an exciting year for Angie beginning with the Auto Auction Team Championship with her husband Craig, followed by her win at the Texas State Ringmen’s Championship while also making the finals in the Auctioneer Contest. To top off an already great year, Angie then won the first International Ringmen’s Championship and NAA’s Conference & Show in San Diego while competing with some of the best Ringmen in the business.
Quite a list of accomplishments indeed as no woman has ever won these titles and there had never been a husband and wife team to win the Auto Auction World Championship!
Angie and Craig are now starting a new auction venture as United Country Meier Auctions, which should work well with their auto auction schedule. They reside in Ennis, Texas and have four wonderful children from 2 to 8 years of age.
We are very proud to have Angie join the World Champion instructors at PRI and we know she will share a tremendous amount of information and experience.
